I can't quite put my finger on why, but this flowering plant seems to captivate me in a way few other of my flowering plants do. Whether it's the way the petals are arranged that remind me of the diaphragm of a good lens. Maybe it's how the unopened blossoms look like the minarets of a Muslim Mosque. Or perhaps the ethereal glow of back light passing through the golden heart of the blossom. I guess I will just have to keep photographing them until I figure it out... Bob
