Boating, fishing, snowmobiling, dogs, exploring different art mediums
Shelly has been an artist as long as she can remember and is primarily self-taught in many different mediums, ranging from watercolors, oils, acrylics, pen and ink, collage, mosaic, stained glass and photography. She is an interior designer by education but has always been more interested in creating art and changed her career direction after having her first son in 1986. She has painted many house portraits, a few wall murals, note cards and greeting cards of Chicago and other area landmarks, and in more recent years she has been making mosaics and stained glass panels. She has two sons, a stepdaughter, stepson and lives with her husband in Antioch, Illinois.
